AFP, partners provide vegetables to residents in Tarlac City

TARLAC CITY -- About 127 families from barangay Pando in Tarlac City received assorted vegetables from Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and partners.

AFP units participating in this activity dubbed as Kapwa Ko, Sagot Ko (KKSK) include Northern Luzon Command, 1st Civil Relations Group (1st CRG) and 31st Mechanized Infantry Company. They were joined by Tarlac City Police Station and Rise and Rebuild International Foundation-Tarlac.

“KKSK aims to provide immediate food assistance to vulnerable sectors and less fortunate residents affected by the COVID-19 pandemic,” 1st CRG Group Commander Colonel Arnel Cabugon said.

“We will continue to reach out to indigent families in different barangays within our area of responsibility through KKSK,” he added.

Cabugon stressed that minimum public health standards were observed during the distribution.

On another note, Rise and Rebuild International Foundation-Tarlac donated the vegetables and vowed to help more families amid the pandemic.

“We hope to continue to improve health by nourishing not just the Filipino children, but also the whole family,” Rise and Rebuild International Foundation-Tarlac Farm Manager Liahona Mae Del Rosario emphasized. (PIA 3)
