Water rationing in Panacan WSS extended ‘til Sept 20

DAVAO Water District advises that the ongoing rotational water schedule implemented in Panacan Water Supply System (WSS) is extended until September 20, 2021.

This after the rehabilitation work on Panacan Production Well No. 4, initially targeted to be completed on September 16, 2021, was extended due to bad weather conditions affecting the conduct of several rehabilitation activities.

Once rehabilitation work is completed, DCWD targets to improve its water yield, thus also increasing the available water supply for Panacan WSS.

It can be recalled that DCWD had to shut off the operation of Panacan Production Well No. 4 on August 28, 2021 to carry out rehabilitation work, thus reducing the available water supply for Panacan WSS.

To equitably distribute the remaining water supply, DCWD had to result to the rotational water schedule while the rehabilitation work is ongoing. DCWD is also augmenting water supply in some areas in Panacan WSS through regular water deliveries.

Customers are advised to continue storing water in clean and covered containers during their schedule of water supply availability to prepare for their no water schedule and possible emergency water service interruption.
