Pharmally execs own luxury cars, Gordon says

MANILA – Top executives of Pharmally Pharmaceutical Corporation have allegedly purchased luxury cars following their P8.68-billion government contract to supply face masks, coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) test kits and personal protective equipment.

Senator Richard Gordon, chairman of the Senate blue ribbon committee, said Pharmally director Linconn Ong was able to buy a Porsche Carera 4s worth P13.5 million in February 2021 and a Porsche Cayene VR6 worth between P6.35 million and P8.5 million in May 2021.

Ong also owns a Lexus RCF worth P5.9 million since 2019.

Mohit Dargani, Pharmally’s treasurer, purchased a Porsche 911 Turbo S worth P8.5 million in May 2021 while his sister, Twinkle, the company’s president, was able to buy a Lamborghini Urus worth P13 million in December 2020.

“Suma tutal, talagang nagpakasasa ang mga taong ito, diumano, lumalabas,” said Gordon.

Pharmally executives have admitted that former presidential economic adviser Michael Yang financed the purchase of medical supplies that were delivered to the Procurement Service of the Department of Budget and Management, which had made the procurement in behalf of the Department of Health.

The medical supplies were distributed to healthcare workers at the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
