SITIO Pacda of Barangay Palasaan benefitted from the Social Development and Management Program (SDMP) of the barangay 2019 to 2020 budget. Out of the barangay budget, Sitio Pacda’s share is worth P600,000. The said SDMP fund was utilized for concreting 124 meters pavement from the school vicinity to the community. The project started last week of November and was fully implemented first week of December 2020.

The said project was funded through the effort and initiative of Kagawad Franklin E. Macario who presented the request during the Council meeting with Lepanto Consolidated Mining Company. Richard Abdul, a resident of Pacda, is the contractor of the project.

SDMP is a program mandated to mining companies that is purposely for the communities affected by its operation. This budget is intended for the host community’s development projects on education, environmental protection, infrastructure, livelihood and health and safety.

The community prioritize the development of the pavement to spend the fund as it benefits all the residents and commuters in their everyday routne. It is also important to focus first on infrastructure imrovements considering that the village too produces vegetable products being transported to La Trinidad, Benguet.

The pavement from Sitio Pacda to Sitio Tabbak is gradually improving as it counts and awaits its SDMP share yearly to complete.
